Recognized...

It's so easy for a while to just shove everything to the side and make excuse after excuse and say you'll do better tomorrow, or you will just deal with it all later. I have been doing that in so many areas lately and it has just all built up and I get so frustrated. It is true the Lord's mercies are fresh each morning, but it is wrong to abuse that fact, and I certainly have been. It's absolutely heartbreaking, mainly to God, but also to me and many people who I come in contact with. I honestly can't stand when people claim to be Christians and deny Jesus with every choice they make, I refuse to be one of those "Christians". I want to apologize to a few people who I care a lot about. I haven't been the kind of friend that I am called to be lately, and I hope you guys will forgive me. This little bit of truth hit me hard today…

Reconciling Yourself To The Fact Of Sin – Oswald Chambers
"Not being reconciled to the fact of sin – not recognizing it and refusing to deal with it – produces all the disasters in life. You may talk about the lofty virtues of human nature, but there is something in human nature, that will mockingly laugh in the face of every principle you have. If you refuse to agree with the fact that there is wickedness and selfishness, something downright hateful and wrong, in human being, when it attacks your life, instead of reconciling yourself to it, you will compromise with is and say that it is of this "hour, and the power of darkness" into which includes no recognition of sin whatsoever? In your human relationships and friendships, how you reconciled yourself to the fact of sin? If not, just around the next corner you ill find yourself trapped and you will compromise with it. But if you will reconcile yourself to the fact of sin, you will realize the danger immediately and say, "Yes, I see what this sin would mean." The recognition of sin does not destroy the basis of friendship – it simply establishes a mutual respect for the face that the basis of sinful life is disastrous. Always beware of any assessment of life which does not recognize the face that there is sin.

Jesus Christ never trusted human nature, yet He was never cynical nor suspicious, because He had absolute trust in what He could do for human nature. The pure man or woman is the one who is shielded from harm, not the innocent person, The so-called innocent man or woman is never safe. Men and women have no business trying to be innocent; God demands that they be pure and virtuous. Innocence is the characteristic of a child. Any person is deserving of blame if he is unwilling to reconcile himself to the face of sin."

Quote For The Day...

"Just because someone didn't love you the way you wanted them to, doesn't mean they didn't love you with all they had."

Times Up...

Getting your point across doesn't require being rude.
Why would you try to embarrass someone over something that really doesn't matter.
I hate feeling stuck.
Isn't the purpose of a goal to strive to achieve something more than ordinary? Why are you trying to limit me?
Quit acting like you are perfect.
When you make a mistake learn from it, don't keep repeating it.
Simple will be just fine.
Sometimes I wish I had the guts to confront people when it needed to be done.
I won't take less than your love.
I'll decide who's beautiful to me.
Don't try to force things, what's meant to be will find its way.
Tell me why nobody is ever satisfied.
I thought it was a good thing, maybe it was too much.
That won't make you happy and you know it.
People give hints for good reasons.
I miss you.
I don't want to do it their way.
Fallacy doesn't work for me; you are or you aren't.
I've concluded that prayers are going to fix it all.
Stop.

I Can't Stand Still...

Okay...Most of your probably know how annoying messages from random people can be, I'm sure I don't need to say anymore. I got a message today though that I enjoyed, it was a little comment about my headline...

""For One Split Second She Almost Turned Around, But That Would Be Like Pouring Rain Drops Back Into A Cloud, So She Took Another Step & Said I See The Way Out & I'm Gonna Take It..." Nice quote, I already know that most will not fully undertand such a quote! Somethings that happen with peolpe are like the miracles that happen in nature. You are either there and part of it or you are not. Once it is over, it is over. There is no recreating it and no time machine to take you back to it. All that remains is the memory of it. You can forever hang on to that memory but, you must keeping moving forward in life."

It really is something to think about...The last couple months I realized how much I miss so many of my old friends. I mean it's part of life, but it just stinks sometimes that all of us went our separate ways. I am so thankful for the few 'real' friends that I do have...and to those of you who I haven't talked to forever I miss you, don't think I forgot about you! Too bad some good memories have to hurt so bad...

It's Just Ridiculous...

If you live in Indy you might have heard about the recent "Would Jesus Discriminate" crap. A local church is twisting biblical truth to try and convince people that the Bible, as well as Jesus himself supports homosexuality. I honestly have no problem at all with people who are gay...I have friends who are gay. But accepting people and loving them no matter how they choose to live their lives is a totally different from distorting what is clearly stated in the Bible. "Pastor" Minor (Jesus Metropolitan Community Church) and his followers attempt to rewrite scripture to sanctify their sexual desires in the name of loving "tolerance." However, is it really considered loving to lead people in opposition to the will of God? The Bible isn't unclear on the issue; I mean do verses like these leave any room for uncertainty?

Don't you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.
-1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (NLT)

Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin.
-Leviticus 18:22 (NLT)

This upsets me that people are being deceived therefore giving up the eternal life that is obtainable to them through the forgiveness of Jesus Christ. Please pray for this church and others of this sort to be stamped out by the truth.
